Spectrum Analyzer

View the average frequency spectrum of your audio with 1/3 octave bands and A/C/Z weighting options. Shows frequency distribution, not how it changes over time — use the Spectrogram Viewer for that.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do the octave bands show?
1/3 octave bands group the frequency spectrum into standard bands used in acoustics and audio engineering, making broad tonal balance easier to read than a raw FFT line.
What is A/C/Z weighting?
These are standard frequency-weighting curves. A-weighting approximates human hearing sensitivity at low levels, C-weighting is closer to flat at higher levels, and Z-weighting (zero) applies no weighting at all.
How is this different from the Spectrogram Viewer?
This tool shows the average frequency distribution of a file. The Spectrogram Viewer instead shows how frequency content changes over time.
