Use this when you need a fast visual overview of an audio file, from its overall shape to a short transient or edit.
How to use it
Open a file, zoom into the section you need, and use the waveform to navigate. Peaks and RMS information help you spot level changes and dense sections.
How to interpret it
A waveform shows amplitude over time, not frequency content. Pair it with the Spectrogram Viewer when you also need to inspect the frequency distribution of a passage.
